| CERVELT™ : FROM YARN TO FABRIC
- Given the characteristics of the fibre (a diameter of 13 microns and 25 mm. long, fine yet very strong), fabrics obtained from Cervelt™ are lighter and softer than cashmere and have a very clean appearance.
- The fibre is also resilient (i.e. it is light and naturally elastic) and therefore the fabric is crease- and pill-resistant (the small balls of fibre do not collect on the surface) which makes for a refined appearance, two technical performance features that are very important for modern lifestyles.
- When worn, Cervelt™ allows the body to breathe because moisture is moved away to the outer layer of the fabric. Body warmth is maintained through the action of millions of tiny air chambers that form inside the natural creases of the fibre.
- Since only 20 grams of fibre are collected from each deer, the down of 40 red deer is needed to make a man’s overcoat.
- Cervelt fibre is always pure, and can be spun into very fine counts.
- Since this fibre is 100% natural, the fabrics and garments cater to the growing demand for eco-sustainable products.
